What is the screw on my SOCOM Elite for?

I just recently got a new Microtech SOCOM Elite (manual action, brend grind). It is one sweet knife!

I noticed that there is a small set screw in the grip that secures the Microbar locking arm. What is the purpose of the screw? Is it so you can replace the bar, should it wear out? Is it an adjustment of some sort? The screw was very loose when I got it, so I tightened it down. Should I blue Lok-Tite it in place?

TIA!!!

I assume it is there in the event that the spring needs service/replacement. If you use locktite, just use a bit on a toothpick. Don't overdo it.

BTW, great knife. Good luck with it.:)

The screw in question is there to retain the "microbar." The screw really isn't there as a method of adjustment and highly doubt that the microbar will wear out. Nor do I see the need to "Lok-Tite" the little buggar !

Hope this helps ! :)

the "screw" is the pivot on which the microbar rotates, looks a lot like a pin/screw in the wristband of a watch. don't loctite it.
