What knife is 'you'?

Man has always made connections between his spirit and implements, especially the blade. Anyone have a custom fitting them perfectly, or even a factory that's 'just right'? Sure, we all have plenty of knives, but which is the one? And not necessarily for utility or innovation, but because of that utterly proper feeling of owning that one knife. I don't know of this is the same as a -favorite- knife, more like the one you could never part with.

The Chris Reeve small Sebenza. High tech materials combined with pure functional simplicity and precision. It just feels "right" in my hand.

Hello,
For me it's the CS Master Hunter. It feels oh, so perfect! I wish it could be my EDC and I don't even use it that much. In fact, hardly at all. Another blade that has a "power factor" and feels great is a machete that I picked up a the local Army/Navy.

Iteresting question. Of all my knives, the ones that feel best are the ones that I rarely touch.
FM.

I have two knives that I feel this way about. First is my small classic Sebenza. It is plain like me but gets the job done. The second knife is a BM 710S that an ex-girlfriend give me, I don't know what it is about that knife but I could never part with it.

For me, I like BIG folders. I have tried just about every large production folder on the market. My favorite that I will never part with is my red handle limited edition REKAT Sifu. It's unique in that there was very few made in the red, and out of all my folder's (2 other Sifu's included) the ol'red opens the smoooothest:D

Never part with? My PCKS Buck 110.

This was my first 'custom'.

However, the one that 'fits' me the best would have to be a small classic sebenza...kind of like the black leather-inlayed one I have on-order  . It's simple but refined...yet unyieldingly tough and resilient...all qualities I hope to live up to.

Since my knife is still being made, here is a pic. of a large brown leather-inlay from Larry's BladeArt site...to give you an idea.

My second runner-up over-all (#1 in the fixed-blade category) would have to be my CRK Project II ...for all the same reasons...

Finally...if we can digress from knives a bit, the most I have ever anticipated a blade to arrive is the continuing saga of anguish I am feeling waiting for my custom-spec. RMJ Talon

Sorry if I got a little off topic... ;)

I've got two! Darrel Ralph's CF EDC and CF ArcLite.
They fit me, they're my favorites, and I don't ever want to part with them..sniff.
Here's a itty bitty pic:)

"Ranger Knife" by J. Peltonen, in traditional Finnish Puukko-style, yet of handy fighting / heavy utility size.

Big. Ugly. 100% me :)

The Custom knife that just plain fits me, feels great in my hand and that I just love to look at was made by David Brodziak from Australia.

Since in many areas of the country it's illegal to carry it, my favorite "Let's keep it legal" knife is from James Luman. I love what he does with Damascus.

At present I have only one custom. I was lucky enough to have Bob Dozier produce a knife that fits me like it was meant to be part of my hand. I doubt I will buy another fixed blade anywhere close to that length again.

I call it the Texas #6 because it started out as Bob's model #6 before he lengthened it to the 5-1/2" Texas limit. I also asked him to extend the guards for me. The result is an amazing "do anything" knife. One of these days I'll get an IWB sheath for it and just stopping carrying anything else. :D

What knife is "me"?? Easy and it isn't an expensive over priced
custom complete with bragging rights...........A simple everyday
Camillus contract made Yellow handle 4 1/4" Buck 307 Stockman.

Like any good tool it's there when you need it and in your pocket when
you don't. Form following function. The simple beauty of true utility.

Probably my Spyderco Wegner.

For the record, Dozier knives impress me every time I see one, but I don't own one of these fine knives.(YET!)

In all reality, because I have such a complex personality (;)) every knife in my collection is "me" or it would not be in my possession any more :)

Here are just some pieces of me while the rest of me is on my web page :)

Chad, I would like to assist you with your disorder. I'm not a phsychiatrist, but would be happy to assume one of your spare identities to take some of the strain off. Just send me that last little piece of you at the bottom:D
I feel your pain. Let me help...

Although they are newest members to my collection, I'd say my Mayo XL Beefy TNT, and Talonite EDC are the closest to "ME" as any.

I feel as though I have a brotherhood with these knives. A "secret society" if you will. They have warmed the voids in my very being since there arrival. Ha, Ha.......

probably my bob kramer 5" utility. cocobola handles brass guard 52100 stained carbon blade and sharp as hell

this one is ME! (for now anyway)

I have a few medium priced customs, a good number of fixed blade production knives and folding production knives. Here are my top 2 knives and why they just fit nice!

1) Emerson Commander: I can carry it in my pocket with clip, or in the quick deployment sheath. This makes it particularly versatile for use in dress pants or in its sheath when on my HD. It does not draw nearly the attention that a fixed blade draws and, for a folder, it is plenty tough. Plus the wave feature makes it "oh so quick". Also, since you can buy them for $135.00, you just don't have to be really careful how you use them.

2) TOPS Magnum: I just like it because it is unique, big and tough. Plus as a folder, it doesn't draw the attention of a fixed blade. This folder, however, acts just like a fixed blade when opened.

That's easy...It's my REKAT Sifu that I have customized to suit me better.:).
