I was wondering how many lower priced watches are available with the Swiss made 2824-2 25 jewel automatic movement.

I've seen some Russian Poljot models with that movement. Also, the Ollech and Wajs watches have them at a good price. Are there any other lower priced watches that use this movement?

Thanks!

If you mean low-priced as in < $200, can't help ya.

If you mean in the $400-$800 range, try:

Can't beat them for case quality -- they're owned by Ickler, who makes cases for many high-end brands, including Chronoswiss.

Especially the Nightflight series for $400 with sapphire front crystal and display back.

They also have 2892's as well as the various other 28xx derivations including GMT and etc.

I've owned one; great watch.

Also Oris makes them:

Also very good, but much older and you don't get personal svc like with Limes.

If you want REALLY inexpensive, such as the $100-200 range, give up and get a Seiko auto with the 7S26 movement. Cheaper, more reliable, built like a tank, and surprisingly accurate.

Just the movement isn't pretty to look at.

I got the O&W submariner from www.countycomm.com I really like the watch, it has held up great. The service from countycom was top notch. I understand the new Marathon Canadian SAR has the same movement, anyone have a lead to some pics comapring it to other watches for size comparison?

Here is the Marathon SAR next to a Seiko. The Marathon does use the ETA 2824 movement.

WCT has a watch made for them by O&W that uses the movement. It may be seen at www.westcoastime.com
