Thank you for the answers. now I got another one, how can I tell if these are polarized or not? I want to put them up for trade and want to give the most accurate description.

thanks

david.

my oakley have polarized written on the lens.
Im thinking that if theres nothing on the lens, then they are not polarized.
not sure...
someone else might help more.

If you look through the glasses at something like a mobile phone screen and turn the glasses +90 degrees you will see the screen go dark.

Having "polarized" written on them is also a bit of a give away :p

Look at a cell phone while wearing them. The polarized lenses will either give the screen a rainbow hue or make it very difficult to see. The non-polarized won't.

Also, on most polarized Oakley lenses the word "polarized" is etched on the lower left lens.

I'll try that out, though I guess they are not since there's no etching on the lens.

thank you all for your help.

Take another pair of glasses that you know are polarized and look into the light through both pair. If you rotate one pair 90 degrees to the other and the lenses go black it's polarized if it stays the same shade they're not.

Polarized reduces glare, so you can check by looking at a shiny flat surface (water, windshield, wet pavement) and then rotating your head sideways. If the brightness of the reflection changes significantly it is polarized.

Also, just look at any computer LCD screen, and rotate your head.

Whiskers have the Oakley "O" logo on the temples. These don't, which therefore makes them A-Wires.
