besides fiddleback what other brand do you buy (you too andy)? mainly production knives. i go for spyderco.

Don't really buy any production stuff anymore. I buy knives from most of the makers here on the forum. The prices and quality available here are better than most production stuff anyways.

RAT Cutlery. Other than Fiddlebacks, I have trouble finding a better knife simply because of the comany.

Since arriving here, my purchases of production knives have gone to zero. Fiddlebacks are my primary affliction, but I've also purchased knives by Dan Koster, JK Handmade Knives, Ray Laconico and Brian Goode.

Case, Dave Farmer......thought I was gonna be a Rat Packer but having second thoughts.....

I will say that money plays a huge roll in what I pick. If I could just have whatever I wanted, I would own a ton of knives from Ray Laconico, Dan Koster, Scott Gossman, Matthew Bailey (this is the grail for me), and of course Rick Marchand.

Now I mostly buy from custom makers...JK, Eddie White, Nitro Custom Knives, Morris Knives, Broworkshop, etc. Have only one Fiddleback but that's surely going to change. I also have Bark River, Dozier, and Fallkniven...and wouldn't hesitate to purchase more of them in the future.

R.A.T. and Busse, mostly.

The occasionally light Spydie, Kershaw, or Benchmade.

And Customs.

I'm not really buying production knives anymore. I like the makers here and just buy their steel. I do have a couple RAT knives I enjoy as well, but they sort of feel like family.

Dan Koster, and Scott Gossman have shaped what I do considerably. So has Tom Krein. Though, they're all better.

I'm stil a fan of BRKT. They convex real good.

There are alot of great makers here to keep you from spending money on any Production knives. But my favorite production co. are BRKT, Fallkniven, Rat Cutlery, and Spyderco.

BRKT, RAT, Busse, Victorinox as far as productions....

Gossman, and Laconico are about the only customs I look at besides fiddlebacks anymore....

i like classic Bucks like the 110 and 112, Spyderco (H-1 is incredible!), lots of Victorinox in my rotation. I strap on the Woodsman any chance I get (making a new sheath for it right now for a weekend trip to the cabin). Oh, and I might have just one or two Himalayan Import khukuris lying around;)
