What scope should I get for my air rifle?

Pneumatic/CO2 or spring piston? If it's Pneumatic or Co2 powered then find a scope that fits and focuses where you want it, and be happy. If it's a spring piston then you'll need to do a little more searching, as they can tear up most firearms scopes after many rounds.

Several manufactors make scopes specifically for spring type air guns, just check catalogs or better yet go to a large sporting goods store and look. Don't buy a cheap scope, you will be re-sighting the scope every couple of hundred rounds.................

If it's a springer not only do you need a scope designed for the two-way recoil but some kind of stop to keep the rings from sliding off the dovetail is a good thing.
Lesson #5873 learned the hard way.

At 15m I used to use the x 3 on a variable scope that went up to x 7 ( that I never used). I have a low cost Air rifle Tasco x 4 on my son's spring gun and it is doing fine.

I put a .22 scope on my 440 Gamo and it was kicked apart.
