Are the stock pin holes 5/32" ?

I finally have a few handle laminations made for my Fiddleback now to choose which one !

They're a bit over 1/8", but they can be widened with a burr to whatever size. The pinholes in the steel don't need to match the pin size you use, they just need to be bigger so the pin will pass through. The surface area on the scales is what holds the knife together.
