What do you do when you have a pair of thin handle slabs from a cancelled order, and a piece of steel too short for a standard knife? Put them together, and make one for yourself! I had a pair of reddish brown G10 handles, and a 5" piece of 5/32" steel, just sitting there taunting me, so I made myself a friction folder. This one is 8" open, with a 3 1/2" blade, and a saber grind.

It would be nice to have the skill to make something like that with spare material. Great job!

very cool,,, really love your friction folder design

hey 5/32" ,,, wonder what that was left over from?;)

I just realized something. I`m the only person in the entire world who owns all three of my folder models! Friction Folder, Linerlock, and Ti Framelock. Don`t know if that`s a good thing or not.

I would say not only is it a good thing but a damn lucky thing too :) now please post a group picture for us to drool over.

Thats clearly a reason to start making the other two kinds again, ;p, your order list is far enough in the future it might given even a muggins like me a chance to save for one.

They look great next to each they BTW

I wasnt so sure about the red scales at first, but now they've grown on me...

darn it, now I want a red handled knife:cool:
