I have this one all most done but I want to inlay maybe some
mammoth Ivory but I'm not sure if it will match the MOP spacers and
buffalo horn? maybe I should stay with a MOP inlay too..
what do you think? The picture could be better.. :(

Im with George...mop would look very cool...but you should make an appointment with Bruce Evans for a manicure:D :p :p :p

Joe since
my teeth worn down from being old I can't chew
my nails any more and I forget to trim them, they
get ground down from time to time anyway :D :p
as you can see in the picture this one I almost
didn't have to worry about that nail any longer.
stock saw got me.:(
looks like it's going to be MOP but I'm going to try to
get some Ivory in there somewhere so it looks right.

Dan that's a nice looking knife. I'd never have thought of using MOP for liners, what a cool idea. I like your bolsters and the big cutout at the back of the grind. As to inlay, I'm with the MOP crowd, naturally.

MOP sounds good.

The choil, and the angle of the pic make it look like your in the process of "trimming" your index finger a little TOO short ;) A little work from photoshop and it could be real convincing LOL

Dan, Thats a nice little knife but I cant see how you expect to inlay anything in it. From the pic the handle is very rounded and already has a blackish material like horn? I always thought the surface should be flat. Im no expert on inlays though as never done one myself so if I sound like im full of pucky then just regard this message.

Hey Bruce
that is horn
I normally inlay when the knife is all most done.
it don't leave much room to make mistakes though.
It may not be the right way, if there is a right way.
but works for me. holding it is the hardest part. :)
I'll post the results when done the guy is paying some
pretty good money for it so I'll come up with something
Cool for it.:)
