First knife you lost ?

Mine was some heavy duty, marlin spike navy folder , when I was about 10yrs. I dropped it in a field. Still hoping it might turn up .

Hey Spud
I can remember losing more Colonial and Imperial pocketknives as a kid. Thats all we had in our neck of the woods since the Co was near by. Wish I had em all back now though and like you I'm even older.

Lost a Gerber Covert last year . But the two I miss most are a Buck 6" special and a Gerber Mk II.

Why is it that we always think that they'll turn up again ??

:(

I think the first one I lost was a Gerber folding sportsman, brass and rosewood lockback. Worse thing is, I lost it's replacement (well, it was stolen, not lost). Great knife, wish I had it back. I could get another one some day, on E-bay probably, but that one and I had memories.

About 10 years ago at a Boyscout camp in Arkansas my troop was swimming in the pool and someone went through everyone's stuff in the locker room.

They took around $30 cash from my wallet and my CS twistmaster that I got at their discontinued sale for around $10. They left my leatherman, then around $50 I think, I was happy about that so I wasnt too devistated.

After camp my father gave me his and bought himself something new.

The incident still makes me madder'n hell when I think about it.

The next one I "lost" was a 4" CS Voyager Tanto fully serrated. I worked in a garage full of ex-cons...nice guys as long as you dont leave your box unlocked.(They'd Steal candy from a baby.)

Now I collect Khukris, harder to put in your pocket and walk away with. ;)

A Victorinox Executive Swiss Army Knife (red) was the first knife I really remember losing. I bought it in 1976 while on a short Easter vacation to Fort Bragg, NC with a buddy of mine. We drove down in my 1974 Dodge Maxi-Van that was customized inside (back when Vanners new how to party!) to visit his brother who was in the army.

Man we had a good time and sure enjoyed those wild topless bars down there! I bought the Executive SAK at one of the shops there. I carried that knife for several years, and somehow lost it.

I soon replaced it with another, as it was the handiest little pocket knife I ever carried. My buddy was killed in a car accident back in 1979, and I still have many memories of him... the Executive swiss army knife is one of them, even if its not the original one from our little vacation--it still reminds me of him.
