I already made mine -- Benchmade 710HS. :D My wife got me a gift certificate, I sold a knife, and my mother gave me some $ for Christmas, so it all came together at the right time.

Now I need to learn to sharpen M2 and recurve at the same time!

I could hardly believe it -- River's Edge (Columbus OH) was open on New Year's day.

I want a MicroTech MTX2 manual knife. Waiting till I get home off of this contract and find a normal job back in the US, it will be my "welcome home" knife...haha

I have 3 knives on the way that were ordered in 2004. A red plain edge Salsa, a green palin edge Scallion, and a Buck Prince with poly blue scales.

I am hunting for a SCHRADE 858,not planning on buying anything till I've found one. After that I want to try something from QUEEN.

Benchmade Nimravus 140BT - it is the only knife I intend to buy this year - HaHa!

My Ranger Knives custom tomahawk. Other honorable mentions include a Fallkniven A2 Wilderness knife, a new folder (can't decide yet between a Chinook 2, Skirmish, or Resistor...any suggestions????), and that's it...for now.

I don't have any purchases planned except my second Hinderer Firetac I have on order, so that will probably be my first.

Just bought and received a very nice 1930's Robeson two blade slip joint. Great jigged bone handles and excellent ++ condition. Fits in nice with my growing collection of vintage folders. I am a happy camper.

I have not yet decided....either way I'm going to be saving my pennies for a while before I go spending more on knives! Last year was a big knife year for me. I think I bought at least 5 and recieved that many or more, gave out/away as gifts at least 15 and helped others with countless purchases...

But back to the question at hand... It comes down to one of three...

The Skirmish
Osborne 940
AFCK

Grrr...choices... :D I have what I like to now call "knife" issues!!! :D Any suggestions?

Hopefully the Blade-tech Pro Hunter lighweight. My favorite folder design in a more value added package.

9mm, have you handled the Skirmish, or at least seen one up close? It takes a fairly large hand to wrap around that big knife. Great quality, but be sure it fits first. Either of the other two is a winner, of course!

You don't have knife issues. You have knife instincts :D

If Benchmade were to hurry up and come out with a mini-version of their (DC'd) 805 TSEK, that would be my first knife buy for 2005, but I just don't think that's going to happen 'till pigs fly.:D.

Well I made it a whole 2 days into teh year, but my first knife purchase is a Benchmade 530 bought from sting7777.
