A good 'ol homegrown Mater, Sliced with a Razor sharp Buck 110BP with 154cpm steel!
I felt a little fancy, so I put it on a Bologna (Boloney for us hicks!) and american cheese on Rye bread Sandwhich. Oh yeah, it also had that French's plain 'ol fancy yeller mustard!
It didn't last very long !

All good 'cept for the mustard.

'Mater sammiches, even with baloney and cheese added, demand mayo! And a quality mayo is de rigueur, like Dukes (best) or at least Hellmann's.

You a transplanted Yankee? :)

I'm with you on the Dukes! I would have gone that route, But Mustard is quicker when you are running late for work and I didn't have to wash a spoon or butter knife! The Saurs company that makes Dukes is only about 45 minuets from my house. If I was a Transplanted Yankee, I would have had to have Miracle Whip or Grey Poop on !
Transplanted Yankee? Thems Fightin' words! :) I know a Transplanted Yankee that ships Dukes to his familly from time to time! How cool is that? :)

+1 on the mater sandwich +1 on the Dukes but I prefer ham on white sprinkled with some salt and pepper There is only one mayonnaise and that is Dukes everything else is just a pale imitation.

Hi seaplane -

Nice looking 'mater and excellent 110!

I love my tomatoes on toast, with crisp lettuce, bacon and a little mayo.

Yum!!

best regards -

Nice pictures, I'm glad its almost lunch time! Yesterday evening, my son and I harvested part of the potato patch. I have been trying to grow taters my whole life...dont know why, just wierd like that. Well I dug up about 15 pounds of them!! Brought a tear to my eye which I told my son was caused by a bug.
So I used the slicer knife from an old empress trio set to cut up some of the taters so I could cook them up with onions, pepers, garlic, and eggs. I love that slicer and the taters-n-eggs!

Nice Tune BG! I forgot John Denver done that one. Joe, I thought at first you were going to tell us all that old story about how you accidentally left your knife on the trailer with the Taters and by the time you got back to the barn, all you had left was a pile of Hash Browns! :)

No, and just the thought of my favorite slicer getting burned up brings a tear to my eye, I mean bug in my eye! ;)

Great 110 you have there!I have one just like it.Yeah,I like tomatoe sammiches, with thick sliced bacon and mayo!

You guys are too funny. Joe, we love using a Empress Trio md.200 set. Full tang with micarta handles a great combo. They slice tomatoes nicely. Plus, I like looking at the box. DM

Whats better ~~ Prime Rib with Aus-Jus and Lobster with hot Garlic Butter and Granger County Tomato Wedges w/Salt & Pepper.! Now that is what I call good food*

A 'mater sammich requires lots of 'mater - from Chandler Mountain, Alabama - good mayo slathered on both pieces of whatever your bread pleasure is - make mine sour rye - but blacken it with fresh ground pepper - and a whiff of sea salt. Leave the below-knee, chiz, and especially mustard for a diffent sandwich - which may have a slice or two of 'mater, too!
