I'm looking for a few good pairs of pants. preferable to have all the attributes listed below:

- Must not be white :)
- Must have at least 6 pockets, More is always better.
- Must have re-enforced seat/knee(seem to wear out to fast otherwise)
- Must have good BIG pockets
- Must be of medium weight(for use in all types of weather)
- Does not need to be waterproof but would be good to have
- Must have good pockets for clipping folders to :)
- No zippers on any pockets(had a bad experiance trying to get ammo out of a zipped cargo pocet once, never want a repeat of that)

Thats about it, Price is a issue, Must be $50-100(canadian)

Also if you reccomend some pants please supply a link to the store you got them at.

Thanks all.

Those looks good, but dont seem to be available yet. maybe once they are out i'll pick up a pair as well, any ideas as to when they are being released?

Just so you know, Triple Aught Design has a new website called tadgear.com
As far as I know, those pants should be avaliable in 1-2 weeks:)

I have a pair of Cabela's Nail Head cargo pants. Very tough and very comfortable. They include a lanyard ring on one of the belt loops, and a small, extra pocket that is perfect for a Surefire E2 or a slipjoint pocket knife. They cost about $40 per pair. Check out a Cabela's catalog online.

I'll vote for the Royal Robbins 5.11 as well. They are so soft, yet durable. The pocket layout is excellent as well. They are the best I've ever worn, and I've wore a lot of pants in my day.

I have three different types of pants that I wear other than formal wear.

1-Levis 550 in blue or black

2- Royal Robbins 5.11 1 or 2 in every color

3-Propper BDU at least 2 in every color

A nice CQB Solutions or Wilderness instructor belt goes nice with those pants as well.

Hollister is right on about the 5.11 pants! only problem is that mine say they were made in Mongolia, no kidding. Other than that they have pockets, attachments and are not too bad looking. Also try Filson if you want a dressier pant or a really heavy duty pant, they have about 4-5 fabric weghts now. If you do get the cotton, do not wash but dry clean. Other pants I have are Mountain Hardware hiking. -Dick

Just ordered 3 pair's of 5.11's In 3 differnt colors of course. That should last me a while :)

Check outThis Site Its where I ordered 2 pairs of mine this morning. And they even shipped it today. And they are cheap.

Where's the best place to buy them online?

I typically wear Levi's 560's in 30x33 or Levi's 550's in 31x33.

What size 5.11's should I order?

Mike
