Hey all,

We just weathered a pretty bad storm (my wifes hometown has been totaled twice in a 48 hour period (West Liberty) by tornadoes but they just f'ed up our yard and adrenaline levels.) So I between that, my wifes birthday, my sons birthday - which are on the3rd and 8th respectively - and the trip we're still hoping to take I might not be around as much as usual so thought I'd ask this now rather then who nos when.

Johns recent "just for fun" threads have got me thinking about what fellow JK lovers might like in the production world. So what's the folder you would if you could (excluding a JK friction or frame lock, of course.) I'm not necessarily asking about "dream knives" here because i think that depends on the situation (gents knife vs bush knife etc)

I've liked this one for a while:
http://www.burgerknives.co.za/index.php/knife-models/8-knives/field-grade/12-exk1
http://www.burgerknives.co.za/index.php/knife-models/8-knives/field-grade/14-lexk

I guess thats still kinda custom, but i'm also hoping they one day come out with an Esee izula folder, a ZT I can carry in a pocket along with a wallet so thats the impossible dream team right now, ;)

thanks all

Glad to hear everybody is ok. They are OKAY right?

My impossible knife is a TriAd lock Production knife made by some one who is not Cold Steel. Not that I don't like the Cold Steel knives. But it would be pretty sweet to have something like a Para2 or Kershaw Leek with the TriAd lock. Just imagine how light weight and strong it could be. Probably smoother than Cold Steel as well.

I Think My Dream Folder Would Be:
Spyderco Paramilitary 2 With An Orange And Blue Grooved Scales And A Stone Washed Titanium Frame Lock. Also Would Like The Blade To Be Just A Little Thicker And Have A Little Wider Blade In Like s110v Steel Also A Stone Washed Blade.
I Think That Would Be My Perfect Knife.

Good question,,, maybe a Hinderer XM24, extra thick and heavy? even then, how do I bring myself to carry it?...

I'm a simple man most the time and one of my grails is a zero tolerance 0560. but if money was no object I would go for a Jeremy Horton frame lock. they are just plain beasts

Another Benchmade/Emerson collaboration, but this time a Super CQC-8 with an axis lock and either CTS-XHP or M390 steel.

A Tony Bose traditional would be awesome. Maybe a custom 110 with orange G10....hey......wait a second.

For something more modern, I'd take 5 minutes alone with Andy's collection and a lot of pockets! :)

Awesome sounding folders guys!

Chris Pierce: everyone's alright, should have said that, thanks. We're planing on going to west liberty to see what we can do on Saturday, by then they might be letting people in again.

A friend just gave me mine. A Benchmade 710 in D2.

Hard to decide. I've really been wanting a Strider flamed with tigerstripe blade, always in the want of a real Hinderer and absolutely drooling over a Yuna Assassin.

Okay back from vacation now, official around as much as usual to bug the hell out of eveyone, way hay.

Great choices guys, i new i shouldn't have ask, put way to many idea in my had, :)

I don't know how it gets any better than my ZT 0550....
