Particularly micarta and other synthetics like g10, but I'd be curious about any other good sources too.

Are there any good guides for making different types of handles? The search isnt working for me (just brings up a blank page).

Thanks!

Jantz, Texas knifemakers Supply, and Sheffield Knife Supply are my favorite!

Oh and one of my favorites of course is staburl.com; an ebay store!

Handle material can be had from many sources. I particularly like old floor boards, recycled wood from broken furniture, etc.

If you see that some one is tossing out an old piece of hard wood furniture, take it off their hands. You might find some birdseye maple, walnut, or the like under all that paint/dead varnish. :D

Good luck
