Hello all,

I live in central New York state and am looking for some knife shows nearby.
Are there any websites that have shows listings?

Thanks

Brian

Not very many places to read about shows on the net. You will usually find that checking on BladeForums after a show is over is the best way to get information and pictures. Not all the shows get written up, but a lot do. The Custom Knife forum has some great reports on the CKG/Canadian Knifemakers Guild show that just happened last weekend.

Another site that has some reports on shows is www.bladesinternational.com . They have articles on the Milan, Italy show and the Art Knife Invitational. Besides that Blades International is a great on-line magazine that covers all aspects of the knife industry. I think you will enjoy it very much. While there you can leave a reader response and ask them to cover more of the shows. Bud is really responsive to his readers wishes.

Thanks for bringing up this topic Brian. Hopefully others will know of more places on-line where someone can read about shows. Since I am unable to get to any of the big ones, it sure would be nice to get to read about them in as many places as possible. The advantage to the internet is that you can read about a show as it is going on. The news stand magazines take at least three months to get an article into their publications.

*Edited because I can't use a keyboard.

Are you just looking for lists of upcoming shows? The Oregon Knife Collectors Association website has list of shows. I have found information on individual shows by searching on bladeforums about a month in advance. "Blade" and "Knife World" magazines also have show lists.
