Darrel,

Try http://www.mcmaster.com/

They carry a huge amount of screws/spline/hex/torx, even the hard to find spline hex wrenches. They do use the adobe acrobat form so if you don't already have that to read the pages it's kind of a pain. But anyplace that has 10 pages of zip ties is okay with me

Anyone know of a source for black chicago screws for kydex and the like. All I can find locally is AL silver ones, suppose I could have them anodized

Thanks

Darrel, I get a lot of my screws from Les Halpern. He has a 1/72 with a pan head Torx 5 that's .130 dia x .032 high. Great for bolsters, handles, clips, etc. I prefer to use the Torx type (think of all the allen head screws we've stripped out). I get Titanium screws from United Titanium.

I found a source on the east coast called star fastener. I buy the spline head sockets from them and the 2-56 ss stuff . I may call Les and see what he has .. I have the McMAster carr cat ill look in there . PLANNING A NEW PROJECT>>>

Les is great! I live in Denmark and i have trouble getting knifemaking equipment. I am getting started making linerlocks and got all the materials from Les. Only problem was that we run the metricsystem i Denmark and the treading tools cost $$$$$$$ so i have to order that in the states as well

Les Halpern supplies my 4/40 Torx screws. The 2/56 Torx screws I use are from R. B. Johnson since he carries the flat head in a !/2" lengh.

Darrel,
I found a good source right here in Dallas. Call Myrl at Global Fasteners, 214-340-6068.
