I have gone to the web. page but they only list four styles with two new optional coats. I have read here and on other forums of a couple of other knives that they produce. Could someone shed some light on this for me, its dark in here.

Thanks

Welcome to the Rat's Nest. :D:D

We have 5 models that we are currently selling

Battle Rat (Desert Tan or Black)
Camp Tramp (Desert Tan or Black)
Howling Rat
Bandicoot
and Pauls Ratchet

There has also been a limited run of InfiCoots that we no longer have for sale.

There are some models on the horizon that we often talk about but they are not for sale yet either. (ie D2's and Mini Spec Ops)

You might also here us talk about the Taliwacker, which looks like a Swamp Rat but actually was sold through Busse Combat(it was produced before Swamp Rat was in existence)

I hope that helps

:D:D

mmmmmmmmmm...................did someone say mini spec ops??????......:p

Bet I'm gonna be eating lots of crow if I am broke when them things finally come out!! ;) Nah, I'll sell a kidney before that happens!

I didn't know you guys were still selling the old ones -- how long will they still be available?

When you say "old ones" do you mean the BR, CT, HR, Coot and Pauls Ratchet? If so we have no intentions of discontinuing them anytime in the near future.

I think there's a pic of the mini in the picture archives, its a tanto of sorts, 4" or so blade, SR-101 steel, short stubby 1/4" thick (!!!!!) This is the main reason I am obsessing over this one! We havent seen anything that small in 1/4" ever! There havent even been that many Busse offerings in that size and thickness lately. I likes me 1/4" blades!! :p

Birchtree, only the Busse line is getting the revamp, thank goodness because I am still saving for the Desert Tan CT with black handle. Black handles, Right Eric???:D

Awright! Who has their greedy little mitts on that prototype!!!! I want it!:D Pleeeeeeeeease!?!?! At least send me a pic for my desktop so I can go dream!:D

Yup, those are the ones. For some reason, I had it in my head that you guys were going to stop making those once the new line was introduced. Glad I was mistaken. :D

Hmmmm, me things I smell a Rat!!:p

Did someone say the M word?? Ah, I did'nt say Mini Spec Ops, did you say Mini Spec Ops? I KNOW I did'nt say Mini Spec Ops! It is all Gundy's fault!! Yea, thats it, he is Pack Ratting all the Mini Spec Ops! GUNDY! Quit Pack Ratting all the Mini's!!!!! Wait, its gotta be the other King Pack Rat!! ERIC!! Send me one or I'll divulge all your nasty secrets, all those Rat Skeletons in your den! All those Rat Variants you've got Packed away, heh heh heh.:D Hmm, Its gotta be good to be the King Pack Rat eh???

Here's what Eric said back in January:

"The new Rat Prototype affectionately being called the Mini-Spec Ops (for the time being )

SR101 4.5" blade, .25" stock, same size handle as the HR and Bandicoot. The regular combat model will have the black coated blade, however to showcase the great grinds on this knife we had to show you the first one uncoated. Introductory price will be under $100, hopefully available to order the first week of February.

All the above info including the pic is subject to slight modifications until full production starts."

These were listed as "Spec Ops." They look kind of like the Taliwachers though. If these are them, there sure looks like there's plenty of them. :D

BirchTree -- I believe those are the full-sized version that was renamed the Taliwacker.

Yes, those are Taliwackers. They were actually always called Taliwackers we just didn't advertise it. Those Blades shown in the picture are the ones that Busse donated to the Military after 9/11.

The one on top that looks like more of an Americanized Tanto is actually the same as the rest it is just unsharpened.

HAR!!! First week of February!!:D It be a bit late eh?? :p Seriously, how's about a release at Blade West?????????????
