Where is the majority of the buying and selling going on????

So,

The exchange activity has really slacked off since the policy change. No indictment of the change or the reasons, just an observation.

But, where has it went? The exchange activity and traffic...
 
There are a couple of very good Knife Shows coming up. People, like myself, are cutting back to have the funds available for them. Just a guess.

I've just moved over to Ebay. There is a much broader audience there and things always go for much, MUCH higher prices.

There are some downsides, but all-in-all, I can't really justify dumping an item here (in the name of brotherhood) for let's say $60 when I can get $100 + shipping added for it on Ebay.

The convenience factor of selling here at BF is high, but not that high. I do prefer to sell (and buy and trade) here, but I don't have an unlimited budget for this hobby, so I need to count every dollar.
 
I have been saving every penny for BLADE. I don't think the policy change had anything to do with the "slack market" here.

It is also pretty crummy on BA and there are no bargains on E-bay. I am not buying right now because I do not have the "disposable income" right now. A sign of the times. Alos, there just have not been any great "buys" out there of late.

Why?, I have not a clue
 
All of my buying is going on directly with the knifemakers. I tend to buy only custom knives and like to do so from the makers themselves.

The for sale forums here are still pretty active. I see a lot of ads going in every day. They seem to have been getting busier and busier. Lots of good knives over there.
