Hi All,
I'm sure this question has been asked so much you're sick but I need some thick concealex and Tek Locks, where can I buy this material at a reasonable price ???I need it fast as I have a bunch of fixed blades in the works as I type this. Thanks.....RDT

I know nuthin but what I do know is blade-tech were THE source for CF pattern kydex (no more concealex) when I got some a few months ago and they weren't cheap or quick neither. Sheffield's is marginally cheaper than BT for tek-loks. Hopefully, for my sake as well as yours, the situation is different now...

Blade Tech is not getting any better. Alot of their key people got up and left. Customer service has been crappy ever since. I used to really enjoy dealing with Brian and a few others, but now everyone worth dealing with is gone. Sad to say but its the truth. It took them six weeks to get me 200 eyelets and 1sqft of foam.

If you can get the Loks from another supplier do it. Even if they are a few cents more it is worth avoiding a headache and alot of phone calls.

Might try contacting On-Scene or Survival Sheath. They remain very good folks to deal with.

If this offends anyone, too darn bad. If Blade Tech cleans up thier act I will post to that. But right now they suck.

Also you can get the same sheath that BT would charge $75 for from Survival or On-Scene for half the price.

Heck, six weeks would have been heaven. I waited almost 4 months for an order that had 3 out of 3 wrong items from bladetech!! RDT if you need some conceilex let me know i might have enough to get you through what you are working on, i am going back to kydex once this stuff runs out!!! I dont have any clips to help ya with, i make most of my own multipositions...

Hi Allen, if you don't mind my asking, why are you going to Kydex instead of Concealex? Thanks.

Darn it ! I just want some nice thick Concealex. the Tek Locks at sheffield are like $7.85 each. That seems a bit much to me , even though I just ordered some. I seem to recall seeing thm elswhere for like $5.50 but I cant for the life of me remeber where ?!!! Anyway, just trying to keep costs dow. As for Kydex, I'm still cool using it just never have used Concealex before but I like the way it looks and feels. So I thought I would give it a try. as fr Tek lock, they seem really handy from the few times I have handled them. Plus they'd save me time. They seem very durable too. Sheffield is good about delivery time though. UPS ground ishre within 3 to 7 days usually. See ya.....RDT

Hey Guys....

Well we do have a slight problem don't we...

At one time BT was a pleasure to do business with...

First Victor left, it got bad,, then Robert left and it got even worse..
I'm sick of dealing with them..No one returns my calls and its just a pain to deal with...

For so long,,when people asked where do you get this and where do you get that I said Blade-Tech..

Several of us are working on something to bring you,,the knifemaking masses a cheaper alternative..
It will be Concealex,,it will be Carbon Fiber Concealex and it Will be cheaperthan what you are use to paying right now....
Just give us some time,,as there are Alot of Details to work out..

Whos interested in Cheaper priced Carbon Fiber concealex ??

As far as eyelets, hardware (Screws Posts,Washers) go.. Tell me what you want and i will get it for you..

You don't have to pay $10.00 per 100 eyelets...

Let me know what you need and I will sell them to you at a reasonable cost, and you will still have your shirt when you get home...

As far as Teks go.. I heard if you buy them from BT less than 24 they are $7.00.. 24+ they are $4.?? Thats not too bad of a price actually...

I want, I want, gimme, gimme !!! Keep us informed Normark as to when you will have concealex available. Thsnks.....RDT

Burke, its just a matter of how easily the materials can be gotten, and the price involved in said materials... I have worked both and do NOT see much difference between kydex and conceilex, except the conceilex molds a little easier and is a little softer than the kydex IMO. personally i can get black kydex at a fraction of the cost of black conceilex and i dont have to wait a poor 16 weeks and 6 long distance phone calls to get my order right... I think if there was a company out there that sold the materials we wanted but didnt see a one sheet order as something they don't want to deal with, knifemakers would be in heaven!

Normark, count me in on some of that cheap CF conceilex, i do love the patterns, but not the price!

RDT i got some peices of black kydex in up to .125 thickness and a few different colors in the thicker stuff, if you need just a few chunks let me know...I also have some thicker peices of CF Black and Camo conceilex that i probably will not ever use if you need... let me know..

When they lost Vic. and then Rob and his wife things declined HEAVILY from there... Concealex is still available, and I wont use anything else.. The other stuff BLOWS!

Trace.

Thanks for the answer Alan. I have sheaths in both that I've been very happy with, so I didn't know if there was a "usage-related" reason, or if it was just because one was cheaper/easier to get.
