Does anyone know of an on-line dealer that has the Camillus CUDA Maxx in stock? I've got mine, but a friend is looking for one and every dealer I can think of is out.

Bob Q,
Have some patience looking for a CUDA MAXX. We have ALOT of backorders for this knife, and due to the large amount of machining involved in the Ti frames, we are only able to make a small number per week. But we are getting them out the door.

We are also shipping the backorders in the order that the initial orders came in...first in, first out, and so on. We are trying to clear all the backorders up within a few more weeks, but the fresh orders are coming in as fast as the backorders go out. I guess its a good problem to have, in a weird kinda way;)

Your best bet is with dealers that buy directly from CAMILLUS....but hey, if www.knifeoutlet.com[knifeoutlet does buy direct] has one in stock, I would say jump on it!

BTW, with reference to Mike's comment regarding www.crknives.com , they wait for there backorders to be filled like everybody else. But they very well may have some in stock. If not, Like verybody else, I'm sure they have some on the backorder list, and should have some soon.

Good things come to those who wait!

In the pictures of MAXX I saw blue and brown handels, but never sow the option to choose color in any online shop.

So, it's impossible to choose colot ?

Thankx

I have a Maxx. SWEET!!!!!!!!!! Mine is the blueish you see in most pictures. The pictures of the one that was brown/goldish was the proto type. I do not think that any have ever come out looking like that. There is no color choice. Blue in various shades is what you get. Hope this helps.

i believe the handles only come in the heat treated titainium. when you apply heat to titainium it changes to a bluish color.

Click here for a discussion on the handle color--there's usually a lot of discussion on the Maxx in the Camillus forum. As far as I know there is one color (don't know anything about the prototype). The gist of the thread is that since the color/anodizing is done by hand, there's going to be lots of variation. But applying windex to the handle apparently brings out the blue in the handle (there are some pics in that thread as well).
