I got that Norton stone he recommended and now I need him to tell me how to use it properly (I suck at sharpening). Im having trouble with the curve from cho to belly - cant get it flat to sharpen

Brandon it's just a knife!!! The worst part of it is that you're gonna wear the corners of your hone by sharpening the recurve of the kukri.
Put the hone on the edge at an angle from 10* to 20* and have at it until you get a burr all along one side then do the other and then strop the burr off.
Use some WD-40 on the hone.
The day you quit thinking you suck at sharpening is the day you will finally learn to sharpen.
