I just picked up a Surefire E1 and need to pick up some spare batteries. I was thinking either the Energizer e2 lithium or the Duracell ones. Which one(s) do you guys recommend?

Surefire SF123's
Duracell Ultra's
Energizer E-2 123's

I have had good usage with all of these. You also might look for batteries on Ebay. I have purchased several at good prices.

Sanyo 123's are decent also. They can usually be had for $1.50 each.

I've used Surefire batteries and Duracell Ultras.

Look for 223 type batteries on Ebay. carguy21 sells them in lots of 6 or so, and the auction usually ends up at around 7 or 8 bucks + shipping. Since there are two 123 batteries inside of one 223, that means you can get $1 batteries. The only problem is you have to saw through the plastic and tape up the batteries yourself.

I've had the saw slip, and cut partially through the battery. Not a fun thing to do. The thing heated up like mad and gave off a really bad smell. :)

I bought some of those from carguy21 and they seem to be doing well. They have had some good life to them. I bought 18 223s and made 18 sets of batteries for my E2-HA! Only took an hour or so with my Recon Tanto handy! :D
