Which F1 sheath?

I recently got a Fallkniven F1 which is very nice. In error, the vendor sent me all 3 sheaths when I'd ordered two. I plan to keep the kydex one even though it has very limited carry options. So, I'm not sure which leather one to keep. The open top one seems a bit more versatile (possible IWB carry?) but the closed one is also appealing. Any opinions of people as regards their relative merits?

Many thanks -

Hey Kall....

Grab the leather dangler sheath, then give me a call for a Concealex version..:)

Nice blade BTW..

The Fallkniven F1 is my favorite outdoors knife. Eric's Concealex sheath is the only way to go. It works right or left handed, IWB, however you want to carry it. Spend the money and order one ASAP. You WILL NOT be disappointed, I guarantee!

Yes - well a custom sheath is obviously the way to go. The kydex sheath with it seems good but very limited. What I reallly would like to know is how peope find the leather Fallkniven sheaths they have, why that is so, and if they have a preference out of the covered or dangler versions.

I have to send one back soon!

I have both leather sheaths and much prefer the open top dangler. I like the look and it's more accessable.

I agree on the open end dangling sheath as it much less likely to stick you when you sit down or move around much and the knife is much more accessable but with that said I think their kydex is excellent and my 1st choice.

another vote for the open sheath. I can't say anything about their kydex - my F1 is happy to have Eric's sheath ;)

Thanks for the responses guys.

I sent back the covered one. If I hadn't already gone with their kydex sheath (which I am sorry about) I would get a custom one straight away. As it is I'll wait a while until I "have to" get a few and order them together. I think I can adapt a G-clip to fit it for IWB carry, but with the huge nylon belt loop they have attatched it probably wouldn't be too comfortable. Ah well. It's always interesting to see different companys' and peoples' takes on kydex sheathing.

Cheers
