Hard to choose between the C95 Manix & the ChinookII Any pics of both with combination edges?
I would also appreciate any user feed back .The pros & cons of each knife.
Both seem to be great knives. We have no Spyderco carrying store in this province so it's hard to know.
any input welcome.
thanks,regards,Rick in Nfld.,Canada.

Anyone know how many lock designs produced for Spyderco knives & what are they?
Pictures or links appreciated .
thanks,Rick in Nfld.,Canada.

Have both, but mine are PE. They are both very similar and very different. Both are built like tanks, and have very smooth actions. Both have 4mm thick S30V blades of the same length, dual steel liners, and G10 scales. Both allow 4 way clip mounting. Both are bulky, but the Manix is a hair longer (3/16") and a hair heavier than the Chinook II. I have fairly short thumbs, and find the thumb motion necessary to open the Chinook II more comfortable than that of the Manix. On the other hand am a fan of flat ground blades, so it becomes a hard choice for me too.

Far as lock types go, Spyderco has used the front lock, liner lock, liner lock style framelock, their own compression lock in both nested liner and framelock forms, their "phantom lock" found only on the Meerkat, and the ball lock. Believe there is a variant on the front lock, used on at least some of the Dyads, that may be different enough to qualify as a seperate type. And there is also the "wire" combination lockbar and lockspring of the Q. They've also made a couple slip joints and a non-locking balisong.

Much appreciated,i may need to get one of each. ;)
Saw your web page very informative. Nice collection!
