Which Is The Better Blade Steel???

Hey All, Just a blade steel question for all the pros out there. I'm sure it's been asked before, and if so my apologies and point me in the right direction . Which Is The Better and Stronger Blade Steel, 154Cm or S30V??? Thanks In Advance. Take Good Care All and Be Safe Always.

Well, most would say S30V. I have a couple of knives with blades made of ATS-34 and one with 154CM (virtually the same as ATS-34) and I don't think most people could tell the difference. Technically, S30V had the "edge."

I think that Confederate hit that one on the head. In theory, S30V is tougher, more wear resistant and holds an edge longer. In practice, I don't really see a great difference, other than S30V holding a 'working' edge longer.
