Was purusing some Spydie fans' websites and found this one on uk-ken.com's website. Excellent artwork, too!

What Spyderco knife is this?
Is it a real model previously made or an upcoming model?

Thanks and regards,

It's the Kumo and it is a new design. Some of the Collectors Club members got them already while others are still waiting on it. Shortly they will be hitting more shelves.

"Kumo"

Isn't that a town in Indiana where they make steel? Or some sort of large asian lizard-dragon?

Great looking blade.

Kumo means Spider in Japanese. The Kumo is the new fixed blade from Spyderco. The picture was made by Simona. A lot of beautifull artwork and information involving Spyderco knives can be found on the Spyderco forum.

komodo would be what you are thinking of

Is the Kumo first knife ever designed by RJ Martin for a large manufacturer like Spyderco? I like it very much and wonder when it be finally available to buy.

They are currently just being received by Collectors Club members and dealers.
