There seems to be people paying more than double what the vintage 110's have been usually selling for. I saw one like this with a sheath for 150 recently.

I saw a second version sell for $461 month or so ago, they were usually selling for $200...

Why such a sudden spike? I thought the economy was poor. Should I be selling my vintage 110's?

Was looking at that same auction an allmost put in a bid then it went over what I wanted to pay . They like a good blade on the knife an some patina I saw one of Heaths auctions on a one liner go over 300.00 it's time to sell.

Man I watched that one count down. I was waiting to drop a last second bid but had a change of heart. I'm glad I changed my mind because the $100 wasn't going to make much of a difference. The 3ver, 4var's don't come along every day but that was crazy. I guess the guy who won it really wanted it and I can understand that. If you have a hole in your collection, your willing to pay whatever it takes to get what you want. I have a need for a 120 barrel nut and I would give one of my kidneys at this point to get my hands on one...

I would have expected it to go for around $150. You never know about the bay.

Gold is at an all-time high.

Stock market is dangerous.

A lot of people are looking for safe places to invest.

The money is out there.

Vintage 110s in excellent condition are as good as gold.

Selling? Why? In two years the price might be triple what it is now. I wouldn't sell really good stuff unless I had to.

:)

Knives and guns... My favorite investments. You can't eat gold. And if things ever really tank you can feed yourself
with guns and knives.

Yeah.....you can stick gold under your mattress, but you can't use it to cut your food......or kill your food, for that matter.

Knives do seem like a wiser investment.

:)

BG42EDGE and sitflyer sayed it all if you can't wear it ,grow something with it ,or eat it ,probaly wont do you any good if times get really tough.

I hope it all settles down, I still have a few holes in my collection I was jk about the selling part, I am way too passionate about the 110, I`d sell my camaro before my knife collection!!

I know the feeling. Someone else will enjoy my 110's someday, but it will most likely be when I'm 6' under.

The one hole that I would love to fill in my collection of 110's is the 1st/2nd etched knife.

Yes, and lucky are we, the few, the proud, the knife folk--smart folk who know that knives are not only an investment.......they have many valuable uses......like CUTTING stuff and getting food and saving lives and a host of other things.

(And I can make my 110s shine like gold.)

:)
