I, like Shortgoth, would like to choose two. Knives are a very important part of my daily life because I use them a number of times a day for small things that would be much harder to do without them. I also just recently got real big into fishing so I use my knives there as well. I've always been an outdoors kind of guy, I ride ATVs often and always take a good knife with me while doing that.

I'm an outdoor enthusiast (backpacker, skiier, snowboarder, traveller) who happens to study filipino martial arts, and feels naked without my knife!!!

Great poll. I also voted for daily wear. Sometimes, I dream of a society wear I could wear all the knives I wanted and no pants. Kind of like Kindergarten. But with plenty of knives.

Hi, daily wear (feel naked without knives or a wallet) but also self defense.

I know a lot of forumites will talk about drawing their gun first but even though I am a gun owner with a ccp I don't carry my firearms on me all the time, and because I travel interstate alot frankly I could get into much bigger legal doo doo with a gun than with a knife. Also it's easier to carry a knife while in a tank top and shorts in summer.

For some reason I also believe that the knife is the poor mans weapon of the future due to govt regulations against firearms. So, daily wear, but also self defense.

I could have picked several. Everyday utility, of course. Outdoors: when I go there, I always bring knives (have them indoors too, though). But I voted for weapons 'cause they say I can't carry a gun. Overall, though, I'm just a knife knut, and other categories start to fit me more and more because they are related to knives. Don't have a glass case, though.

I'm definitely a "daily wear" guy. I don't hunt, fish, or camp. I firmly believe that the whole point to the last 100,000 years of civilization has been so that we don't have to sleep on the ground, sh!t in the bushes, or risk getting eaten by hungry animals.
