who got you into throwing

i got started throwing after i seen the movie daredevil there was a character
named bullseye he could throw anything i mean anything with pinpoint accuracy since then I've taken after ralph thorns way of thinking
so whats your story?
 
I started throwing my knife because there was this book that I read with this super cool dude, who always carried a knife, and he threw it every once in a while in the book. But I thought it'd be cool to have a knife that can do everything, like in the book, so I got a fixed blade knife, and now I throw it. Of course it can't do everything, though, it's quite dull, and really the only thing it's good for know is throwing.
 
A pirate movie called "Swashbuckler" from 1976, starring Robert Shaw and James Earl Jones. There was a character played by Geoffery Holder who wore a couple of dozen knives in several rigs all over his body, and could throw them with deadly accuracy. After I saw that movie, I thought "I gotta learn to do that!"

The movie's great fun, if you ever get a chance to check it out.
 
Health reasons, bad elbow from too many curveballs it needed some work so I picked up trying throw large pieces of metal at wooden targets and it has worked fairly well. My elbow has stopped complaining in the morning.
 
My Dad :-)

i was just a litte kid, maybe 7 or 8, he came home one day and was like "here, i got you something" and handed me 2 shurikens and a throwing knife.

i was further motivated when i saw some cheezy 80's movie where this kid from the country grabs the wrong suitcase (at the airport) and accidentally steals some gangster's coke. the kid was wicked with a blade and ended up chuckin it into the BG in the end. that got me into flippin/catchin knives cause the kid could practically juggle his blade.
 
The assasin played by Danny Trejo from the movie Desperado. He nearly takes out a whole squad of men armed with machine guns with only his throwing knives before the last one or two shoot him down.

My Uncle Whitie Gave me a set of trowing knives When I was 10 years old 40 years ago. Boy was my Mon mad at him for the longest time.

An Israeli ex commando (seal) when I was 13,he was our minibuss driver.He tought me to throw ,with a difficult lock blade with a curved handle and a ring on the lock ,Okapi?.After that I could throw almost anything with a point.

Cant remeber the exact story but I used to read alot of adventure novels. Anyway one day I through an old sheath knife and it stuck first time been hooked ever since.
