Hey guys,

I was at Smoky Mountain Knife Works last weekend and found this piece of stag in the knifemaking section.

The body of the grip is Sambar, but the skull looks to be molded from some sort of plastic and added to the stag. It is very nicely done and looks great.

Any idea where these came from?

I think I might use it on a cable damascus blade.

Wow, that is neat lookin!! They actually sold it to you?? Someone has a great imagination and talent. It almost looks like the outside of the skull is thin leather and it's been filled in with eopoxy. Sure hope you post some good pictures of the knife it ends up on.

Always think of your fellow knife makers as partners in the search for the perfect blade, not as people trying to compete with you and your work!
