Why are quality folders so hard to find?

I don't buy knives as often as most of you guys probably do, but when I do set out to buy a knife, it usually is a quality one. However, it seems like every folder I pursue is impossible to find these days. Old or new. TNT's, Socom Elites and the new SNG's !!!!

I tried forever to find a NIB Socom Elite, and finally after a year found one in mint condition.
Seems like I'm going through this again with the SNG clip point, tiger striped model. Can't find one, and they're a limited run.
Anybody else goin' through this?

I don't purchase folders as much as I would like to, but I have had no problem finding the ones I want when I have the $-I always mail order them though - the local knife shops and outdoors stores only carry the same old stuff.:)

I have been looking closely at buying a new microtech real soon, not sure which one though, I'm pretty sure autos are illegal here too

I think you just have an eye on excellent knives that have smaller production numbers and a very enthusiastic market. Good luck finding them!

No.

I have been able to find the knives I want without too much trouble.

I would have to agree with Code 3. If I have cash in hand, I could find any knife I want. Even a TNT:eek: It just takes alittle more cash in hand than I ussually have:(

Even with a boatload of cash, there are some knives that right now simply cannot be had.....................
