Why I am posting on X-mas eve and how pleased I am with my new HR!

Well I just got my new Howling Rat in the mail today the day before Christmas and what a gift it was. I had a few extra dollars to spend on myself this year and decided to get a new knife. I spent quite a bit of time looking for the perfect knife as I don't buy to many and like to get max use out of my knives when I do purchase them.

I finally stumbled on SRKW through a Busse fiend. I placed my order an patiently waited until Monday then I got ants in pants wondering where the HR WAS????

Well it showed at my door and man I am pleased! This is the least amount of money I spent on a fixed blade but I know I got three times that amount in this knife.

The second I opened it I knew this was what I was looking for for years! Finally a company makes a high quality using knife that won't break your bank!

I began looking for places where the costs were cut but it beats the hell out of me were they are?

THERE ARE NONE!

The sheath is perfect, the coating perfect, the edge geometry perfect, and the handle material also perfect!

So on the day before Christmas I am posting this to say THANKS!

I may someday buy another knife but it will be a SRKW!

I will post pics of my HR doing its duty, on hikes, in the kitchen and on my daily Mt. Biking and Trail jogging.

Amen about the HR. Just unwrapped mine this morning. I was anticipating a well-designed, high quality knife and I'm not disappointed. This is likely to be my main knife in the sandbox. While I've not found the perfect fixed blade for me, this one looks like it may prove to be damn close. The geometry, balance, grind are pleasing, and the resiprene handle material so far seems pretty superb to me. Kudos and thanks to SR -- add one more satisfied military customer to your list.
