I saw that they make trainer models for the Delica and Endura as well as some other spyderco knives. I can see whay you would make them for balisongs, but why for spyderco knives? I have 2 Spyderco knives and love them and dont see how you wold need a trainer to practice with them...They arent made to be wrist flicked or gravity opened and they arent made to be swung closed like an axis lock....And i dont think these knives are used for knife fighting...so why the trainers?

Even though they are not MBC rated knives, many people carry the Endura or Delica for SD. If you plan on sparing with a living being, a trainer is the way to go.

do disarm training. You get the pic it they trained with a real blade what might happen.

I do use an Endura trainer in training defending against and sometimes with a knife. Its size makes more sense than the size of a large alu trainer as it is about what one would expect a bad guy to use around here. On the other hand drawing and opening a folder while being attacked is not as easy as one would think either so it is good practice too.
