First off, I am so excited that BM came out with the 47! I will be getting it very soon w/ the anodized handles! :)

Any way, my favorite handles to go with a tanto blade that I have ever seen are pictured here :)

Any word from BM that they are going to make other handles?
Also, is there any one that I could have custom make handles like these to go on my 47?

Thanks,
Shrubba

Thats a Dobruski right? I'm surprised how much that tanto profile resembles the 47.
No, that's a BM Custom with an Elishewitz blade. Circa 1998. It's a very nice example.

I don't think BM will be making additional handles to purchase separately since they orignally planned on making replaceable blades. Disassembly of your BM voids the warrantee so the replacement handles or blades probably won't happen.

Thats not to say that BM won't come out with some new cool balis with nice handles though.

Ah, I see. Kinda looked like I saw "dobruski" on the blade and have noticed a few double inserts from his shop lately.

Nevermind my ignorance:)

Nice picture Shrubba....thanks for sharing!

I would also reccomend Mer (Eric Maier) for custom handels, i have a very nice example of his work with purple heart wood inserts and counter-sunk holes in stainless.:)

That would be a "Fifth Ammendment" question Cam

Eric! Eric! Eric! Eric! I got my 169 rehandled by him. Handles are seriously heavy duty. Safe handle will work as a truncheon, no problem. They are much quieter too. If the Ti is too light for you, which it is for me, get some of Eric's handles. He'll do either inlays or skeletonized. He does great work. Worth the money, and worth the wait.
