I agree they are nice and good for them I hope they keep it up

There axes look like they would make nice walking sticks.

I was planning a trip to Sevastapol, but it may now be necessary to consider some time in the Carpathians!

They are walking sticks, as Ravaillac said their name in Hungarian is fokos, I have one pretty much like that bought a few years back in Kisnána. They are quite lethal if necessary.

I think I might try to turn a CS Trailhawk into one of those fokos thingies. Or maybe a CS Vietnam Hawk.

Ask Vec, I think he has done some on this type of axe.

He has. I love his stuff. Without felling a small tree and shaping one myself, anyone have any idea where I might be able to find a 40+ inch hickory hawk handle? CS only has 30 inch ones.

The word "fokos" also means the old war axe, there are a few interesting variations but their shape is such that I don't see any larger usage, like what is possible with many tomahawks.

you can usually find them for sale on the sites that sell Hungarian bows. Do a google search for Magyar bow... that should lead you in the right direction. The fokos was a traditional weapon for the horse-mounted magyars (along with bows and sabers).
