This is my fourth knife and the first one with a narrow tang. Still entirely handmade. It was quite a challenge but lots of fun too. The blade is Wootz and it has 4", the handle is oosic and has 5". The guard, buttcap and nut are 1/4" brass. Did the nut by myself and it's all iregular in shape but I'm very proud of it. The narrow tang is welded to the blade, in the big photo with the pattern you see the blade without the tang.
For the etch I first finished the blade to 1800, etched 1 minute in HCl, checked the result, recleaned with 4000 and etched again for 1.5 minutes. Here are the links to the photos, I look forward to your comments (about the knife, I know that the photos are not very good
