I know that some of y'all don't participate in other forums so I would like to direct you to this post I made in the Political Forum for your comments, ideas and such.
I've given a lot of thought to this question and wonder what others think or have thought about the same thing.

The title of the thread is.......
"I'll give up my guns (knives) when they pry them from my cold dead fingers. Questions."

Many thanks in advance.:)

Edited for punctuation.

I would stash weapons before I gave them up. Gunpowder is easy to make, and I have reload equipemnt.

If that fell thru, I have a compound bow and recurve, they are some accurate and silent (and quite deadly) weapons. You'd be surprised what an arrow (which weighs more than a bullet by a lot) will do to a ballistic armor jacket, like *go right thru it.* Also, as Custer (the barstard) found out, indirect fire weapons like bows are effective and deadly.

Like I said in another post, "Custer got Siouxed!!!!":D
Custer was a pompous little ass who deserved what he got. He was an adopted son of a Cheyenne and was given the name Morning Star. The Cheyenne ladies took their sewing awls and cleaned out Custers ear's so he could hear better in the next world. It wasn't disfigurement as some non-ndns say, but an enlightenment.

I just made a new post on the thread in the political forum if you're interested.

Heehee! He was certainly an ass. He disobeyed his orders and attacked what he thot was an inferior force of ndn's, so he could make bullying kills on non-combatants, and justify his piddling existence.

In his haste, he didn't note that the well armed ndn force was really only the tip of the iceberg, as ndn's moved forces under concealment quite often (amazing what paleface forgot in only 100yrs, when the ndns taught Washington's troops how to fight guerilla-style). It was a jsutufied massacre as Custer would have preyed upon what he thot was the weak. Had he live, he would have died at the hands of the court marshal court, most assuredly for ignoring his orders.

Custer's last words--"Hey, it's okay, they have bows."

"cleaned out Custers ear's so he could hear better in the next world"--Yvsa

--classic! They did him a favor, maybe. Criminals iz criminals, any way you slice-em.

yes yvsa it reminds me of an old aboriginal here in aus that was demonsrating to europeans how good his weapons were,
one pompus european guy stepped forward an shot the target down with his winchester lever action.
the old aborigine went an picked up the target an placed it behind a large boulder about 10 yards back from it.
he then returned and indicated that the european should again show the superority of his lever action rifle.
the european exclaimed that was not on as he couldant shoot through boulders.
the old aborigine place his spear into the spear thrower an launched it over the boulder. they all went to have a look the target was nicely speared.
the old aboriginee carried on with his diplay of the use of his weapons.just goes to show if one knows his weapons they can be most affective.even more so than modern firearms.:D :D
