Chris Brookshear custom hunter with tight birdseye maple scales. Incredibly tough 5160 oil quenched and tempered blade that was then hand buffed to remove most of the oil quench grey and left slightly "antiqued" by the maker (the contrast is more subtle than the photos). Bought this and an identical pattern knife with fancy walnut grips from him at the Greenville gun show a couple years ago but haven't seen him with a table there in a while.
This is a wonderful and maneuverable all around blade that excels at skinning and butchering. I've never used this one but I have carefully waxed the blade and tang with Renaissance museum wax on Qtips. If you are a lover of elegant super tough blades then I can't overstate how much you will enjoy this one.
