Recently acquired a usn mk2 marked Kabar. Everything from what I can tell looks to be WW2 produced authentic, except one thing that I cant seem to find a straight answer for. It is guard marked Ka-/Bar, USN/MK2, it has a 1/4 in pommel that is blind pinned, not through pinned. It also has no spacers ontop the pommel or behind the guard (which from what I can find seems to lean towards ww2 production, together with the 1/4in pinned pommel and guard markings)....my main issue is everywhere I look pple say all ww2 produced kabars had through pinned pommels...reproductions had blind pinned pommels (BUT consensus being ONLY on 3/8in thicker pommels) Were WW2 produced mk2's made with 1/4in pommels and blind pinned? Thanks kindly I advance. Trying to post pics, will try to get them up :/

Late WW2 manufacture - it is through pinned. The pile side has the pin proud and the mark side is ground flush. You can see a little rust down in the pits on 2 sides of the pin.
