Yet Another Fake Vanguard

Interesting......

There are no less than eleven e-Bay auctions going for this one.

That's a lot of fees they'll lose if Buck shuts them down.

:)

I thought it odd that the first one you caught was still running, but there isn't the word Buck on the product in the images shown. The second was is totally flagrant in the display of the word BUCK...
It seems to me they changed the description in the title but not in the content of the first listing.
Must be a huge headache for Buck to deal with this BS.

Well, I've seen a dozen and I'm sure I haven't caught them all.

Bit of an explosion of fakes.

Since they are lying about it being a Buck knife, you know you can trust them to not be lying about the blade steel being 440 C ! It's a real shame!

On the first link you originally posted it says
Time left.. Good till cancelled .
As if they are expecting it?

They start to sell those fakes (and other) in the German eBay too. Nothing happens if you tell eBay what happens there. I'm sure that it is a desaster for Buck's reputation if some people buy the rip offs and are not satisfied with the quality. They'll never buy a Buck knife again. Neither if it is a real one.

Best,
Haebbie

I see most of these have been removed.

Only a couple left that haven't been ended.

Good work, Buck!

Maybe somebody from Buck bought it for their fake collection?

Joe......any ideas?

Why doesn't Buck (or any of the other knife companies) care enough about this to join eBay VeRO program. Then a phone call gets the items shut down and user banned if he does it again.

Many big retail players belong, that's why you won't have any questionable Microsoft auctions up there more than an hour or two in general.

Looks like Chris Reeves is the only knife company that belongs.

Good question.

I've placed links to VeRO here on this forum several times and made that suggestion.

Lately I've been assuming that Buck BELONGS to VeRO.

It's hard to figure.
