I have really taken to my Yojimbo.

I like the blade shape, the compression lock, the handle shape and g-10. I also like the way it carries so unobtrusively while clipped in the pocket.

If there was anything I would change in a sprint version, it would be the blade length.

At a bit under 3 inches, it is a nice utility and nice last-ditch defensive knife.

At 4 or so inches, the Yojumbo would be a nice utility and fearsome last-ditch defensive knife.

Anyone else?

I'd only alter the clip. The indexing hole is a bit off, relative to the divots in the G-10. Also, it is weak at this point. Perhaps if it was a bit wider and had the hole a little lower, it would be perfect. Also, after handling the 'spoon' clip of the Gunting, a variation of it would be very appropriate for the Yojimbo.

The Yojimbo was just one of about 12 Spyderco knives that when I first laid eyes on it I didn't think that I would like the knife at all. Spyderco is a very intriguing company because I found out very meticulously that they first and foremost make knives for function. Now I do like the looks of many Spyders but the first time I seen a Yojimbo I couldn't even imagine what needs I had that the knife would serve.

I have 2 of them now and I won't part with either of them and would like at least 1 more. The grip of the handle is only superseded by the Spyderco JD Smith as having the best grip I have ever used. The collaboration between Michael Janich and Spyderco is nothing short of a genius design.

There are a lot of our good blade loving brothers and sisters who are unfairly plagued with short blade limit laws ( pure dictatorial tyranny). Mr. Janich got around that by making a short, tactical, ergonomic powerhouse of a knife. I hope to meet Michael Janich and shake his hand because the Yojimbo is to me the very best tactical blade with a blade that short made by any company, anywhere.

I absolutely love the Yojimbo and everytime I use mine I find more uses for it. It is not my primary EDC but it is in my rotation and will be there for some time to come. Great knife>> you can't go wrong:cool:

I love the Yojimbo - I'm actually going clipless at the moment and really enjoying the "grip without the clip". It's slim, strong and sharp.

Have been cutting some poly vinyl tubing and I needed to make accurate straight cuts. The craft knife blade kept flexing - but the Yojimbo just sailed through.

I love the blade shape!
