Well, it's on me in use. I used it a lot. The way i finally got myself to use it was i sharpened it and put a 40* bevel and 30* edge on it, then scratched the blade a bit. I know, not right! But the only way i get myself to use new knives is to scratch em up a bit, i actually got the tip here on the forums. Anyways, i carry this thing with me EVERYWHERE today. Caught a 4.5 lb largemouth today on about a 35 yard cast with a chartreuse mouse with a splitshot in it and the weight that it came with in its belly. I did use the knife, but the camera was on the other side of the pond in my backpack until i caught the fish, then i didn't even think of grabbing it! Here's some pics. Haha i look somewhat goofy because i threw my hat on because of the bugs and the sun was right in my face! it was really hot today, we were dying. But the ticks are crazy right now so we wear pants and boots on the way there. Death in the sun!

That is a mighty fine looking bass! I haven't seen anything that good looking, fish wise, since I left Bessemer, AL, and fishing on the Black Warrior River. That has to be a farm pond behind you, and one of the best places to catch big bass! Wish we could have seen your knife and how you were using it too! That kind of looks like Alabama! Post up some pics of your knife! It's kind of hard for me to mess up a good knife, so I keep a buch of cheap ones around, and keep my good ones nice!

Nice Catch! I snagged one very similar to that size 2 years ago in our lake. I was dropping a frog on a group of lily pads and pow he hit it. Fought like crazy too.

Looks great! I once snagged a bass by the eye with a daredevil lure. Couldn't believe my dumb luck. Cooked that sucker right up on the grill. Mmmm good eats. No knife pics???!

Will get knife pics next time. I use frogs/mice mainly when i go out bassin, sometimes a rapala floating minnow but my mouse mainly stays on my line the whole time. i fish from land so i target the weeds, sides of weeds, pollen lines and sides that aren't accessable. Shade also near stumps will produce. It ate the tail off of my mouse, kind of bummed. That's all right though i still got it the 4th go around. Knife works great, i thinned out the bevel a bit and put a nice edge on it, cuts like a dream now.

I have always done my best bass fishing with a plastic worm (Black or Purple)! And the very best time to fish for any species is in the rain! Especially up in the mountains for trout!

Well, if they're short hitting on a hot day or something, i'll throw a worm and if that doesnt get em i'll use a rapala. The floating worm is my favorite style of fishing worms.

Went fishing today and didn't get anything. Too many boats out on the river I think. Used meal worms, nightcrawlers, stinkbait, and mepps. Nothing was even biting. Came back and put 10lb mono on it for later this week.

I run 10lb spiderwire supermono xxx or ez and i love both. i run 12 on my baitcaster and 10 on my spinning setup. Try buying some rapala floating minnows, they work on a variety of fish depending on size. Dardevles work too.
