Me and wife went out last night on a much needed date night (no kiddo's) and I couldn't resist the urge to bust out the 0560 and put it to the test. As you might imagine, it passed with flying colors, man that was some good steak!

It was kind of funny, see I'm kinda new to being a knife knut and my wife gets a kick out of it. She teases me and thinks it's dorky for me to use my pocket knife to cut up my steak. She really got a laugh when she caught me taking a picture of my knife at dinner! But at the same time she thinks it's kinda cute since her and the kiddos got me the knife for Father's Day.

Our server even gave me a compliment on the 0560, even though I don't think he was a knife knut. Man, I freaking love this knife!!

Actually cutting against a ceramic plate IS a hard test. No matter how tough the steel is... it doesn't stand a chance against ceramic materials. I sometimes feel the urge to do as you did (using my own knife for cutting meat) but I usually don't do it. If the knife is sharp enough and you are carefull... you shouldn't put much presure on it... and therefore dull only the tip of the knife. Anyway.... steak knives are serrated for a reason!

Anyway, great knife and great steak!

Yeah, I thought about not using it because of the plate, but figured what the hell. I didn't really get into the plate since the steak was so tender. I probably could have actually just used my fork to cut it.
