Im looking around at the Zero Tolerance 300 line of knives, my dream knife, I love the non coated variants of the 300 but I cant find them anywhere. I cant even find out how much they cost. Can someone please help me out? I would like to know how much each variation costs and where I can find them for sale.

Also a follow up question.. Between the regular ZT 300 and the Tiger Striped ZT 301 which do you guys think is better looking? These two are at the top of my list if I cant find a good non coated 300, but I like them both for different reasons. I like the 300 because its black on black, but I like the 301 TS blade better but not too sure about the green scales.

Last question.. Is there a place where I can buy different color production scales, or do I have to buy custom ones?

You could always just paint your scale to make it just the way you want it. That's what I'd do.

There was a TAD 0300 w/ a (i think?) CF scale and a blasted blade, a USN edition with a black G10 scale and blasted blade, and a TAD desert warfare with a digicam scale and a blasted blade. there might be more, those are the ones that i looked for for two years before scoring the USN and DW variants...still looking for the other one.

wink wink.

they cost quite a bit more than they retailed for, as they're collectible...

anyhow, i prefer the 0300, tiger striped blades are, IMO and speaking as one deployed to Afghanistan, too tacti-cool. i think they're lame. go for the 0300.

you'll need to buy custom scales or FrankenKnife a few together to get variations on the scales.

I think JimW has them all.

I think TAD has 3 or 4 variations. Like greatoz said, the 0300 with the cf scale, the camo, I think there is a green scale, bb blade they made, usn edition. Jim will probably share a pic when he finds this thread... right Jim?

Ive seen a few that the owner has stripped the blade, they look nice like that and is probably your best option. Finding one will be very difficult, I have been looking and havent seen one yet. And they will be pretty expensive.

I like the 0301 over the 0300. I dont like all black knives usually, and I like green a lot. Plus the TS is super tacti-cool!:D

Last answer, you have to buy custom scales. I want to get a cf one personally.

I recently saw a USN go for I think $235. I nearly wept that I missed it. It was the first rare knife I started chasing before I got in to rare Blurs. I'm also looking for the TAD with green scales, I think it's the 0300CE.

I feel for you on that one. Im always looken for those 0300's but I dont get my hopes up on finding any.

Try starting a thread in the Want to Buy section. Someone out there may be trying to get rid of one.

I'm still on the fence as to whether the one I saw posted with OD scale/Black blade TAD was a frankenTAD 0300 or another available version. I'm almost convinced I've got them all, but Bob was right :D and here is a group pic of my TAD edition 0300s!

Well, if you can't find the non-coated version, how about a 303? TS Blade with a black scale. :D

Those sure are pretty, I always like looking at them. :D

The 0303 is nice if you dont like the od green. Did you order it yet? Kershaw Guy is a great guy to buy from on the forums here if you didnt already know that.

Very beautiful knives Jim! I have not ordered yet, Ive ordered from Dave before, hes a great guy. I do like the 303 alot, Ive been thinking alot about which to buy. Im still pretty knew to buying knives over $50 and have never spent more than $120 on a knife so Im trying to do my research and make sure Im buying the one I want most. With that said, the one I want most I might not ever find, so Ill have to buy the production version I want most. Im just trying to figure out which one that is. I have a friend that put this all into my head after I thought I was satisfied with the knives I have for the time being, he told me he could get a 300 for a lower price than I can find online, so now Im trying to figure out which one I want. The question I asked about the 300 vs 301 is because those are the two I know for sure I can get.. I dont know if he can get the 302 or 303 yet, If he can Ill probably go with the 303.

However, Someone mentioned something about stripping the blade. I could not do this, but a friend of mine was telling me about a rig he uses to strip his blade and then blasts it himself. I havent asks him if he would do this for me, Im very timid about stripping the blade of the most expensive knife I would have purchased at the time and sandblasting it. I do trust him though, hes great when it comes to working on knives, its just not something I would do myself. Has anyone ever seen a 300 with a DIY stripped blade with a DIY finish?

Thank you all for your help so far! You guys know your knives. :D

Thats gorgeous! What kind of finish is that, is it stonewashed? How much did that run you if you dont mind me asking? If you dont want to post a price on here but do want to share you can email it to me. ares1307@live.com

I do have to admit the Tiger Stripes are very Tacti-Cool, but at the same time, I dont want the all black blade. I have a 200 in black DLC that I have on the trade forum hoping to trade for the KW version. I had two black DLC 350s that I got rid of and bought a stone washed 350. I just feel that the black DLC shows scratches and wear really easily. Up until yesterday, I didnt know there were ANY non coated 300s, a friend told me about the TAD 300 and when I saw it... I was on a mission for more. lol. One day I will have the TAD 300 with the Desert Digi Camo scales and non coated blade!

If I could get my blade stripped and either stone washed or blasted I would get a 300. Has anyone ever heard of using a sandblaster to finish a blade? I have but I cant find where I had seen it, it was a while back, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Chester and Jim.. you guys have some amazing knives. The 300 line has always been my dream knife.

I bought it already done... So I'm not sure of the cost. And I don't own it anymore... I traded it away.. I really miss it sometimes. It was stonewashed with a polished edge..

Sorry buddy, beat you to that one, couldn't beat the price. Only 4 more TAD versions left to get!

Yeah I saw that, I was late to the party on that one too. Although at the time I wasnt actively looking for a 300, nor did I know that version even existed. I never knew about any other variations besides the 300/301/302/303 production series. My buddy Turk.919 is the one who first told me about a knife by TAD that is non coated, which is what made me start this thread. I doubt I will be able to buy one anytime soon, but I wanted the info more for reference than anything else. I might end up buying a 301 and having the scales modified with black/grey camo.
