Just got my 560 back from Tom Veff, where he added a few of his serrations. That along with the hinderer ti clip, I'm a happy camper

Anyone else with a zt/kershaw knife with this serration?

I generally hate serrations but like Veff's. He is another Portland area local. An "edge-ologist". It must be all the depressing rain drizzle, makes us all a bit crazy and interested in pointy sharp stabby things :)

He did my 300 I had a few years ago, and he usually has a few knives for sale at his shop with them already cut, but there's not too many out there.

That's a nice looking edge too, did he do that as well or did he just grind the serrations ?

He did the serrations and the edge. He goes from a belt sander to a scotch-brite wheel, to a buffing wheel. Really polishes the edge out.

Hey SICARIO, have you actually used the serrations yet? If so, how do you think they cut when compared to other serrations?

To be honest, I was kinda anti Veff serrations for a while. I liked the standard serrations I have on my boa. The benefits of the Veff serrations though is that they actually slice when you're pulling through rope or cardboard instead of sawing. I finally gave in and had them cut on my 300, and they were pretty impressive, so I had to do the same on my 560.

Ill have to take a video of slicing through cardboard or rope, maybe even slicing meat like the cold steel guys.....

How do you think they would do cutting through thick nylon straps? I am considering having a few Veff serrations cut into my Severtech.

I like them. It really adds a bit of functional character to the knife IMHO. The only production knives I know of that feature Veff's serrations are a few select CRKTs.

I thought Veff worked for CRKT many knives there have Veff serrations

CRKT Has exclusive rights to his serrations, but he works out of his own little shop behind his house where he sharpens knives. He can still cut the serrations in his shop on any knife.
