ZT serial number question. what is the difference between 560 and 561?

from the first ZT 560 and 561 to the last, are there any differences?

like number 1-100 is like this, and 101-200 is like that and 201-300 is like this and so on.

can you learn anything from the serial number?

also, what is the difference between the 560 and 561 other than scale color?

Nothing is different between the two models, other than the color of the scale.

I'm sure Thomas can chime in, but I know the earlier ZT056x had the larger lockbar cutout and the newer ones have the laser cut lockbar. Also, I hear recently that the Ti side of the knife's texturing has been changed. Maybe some more stuff, but I don't know. Thomas can probably give you pretty accurate numbers for the serial numbers.

Yeah, tricky thing is the 0561s came out later than the 0560s, so a lower serial 0561 is still going to be like a later 0560, as your lock bar proves.

In one thread jimmer_5 said they're switching away from the laser cut lock bar to closer to 030x-sized, so there will actually/eventually be three sizes to fit to serial numbers per 056x model.
