I don't. I agree on that it would have been a nice addition. I don't agree on starting yet another poll trying to force them in to changing a production schedule or a major change to a knife design. I think they do a good job of cramming as much in to a design as the price point allows. I'd love $800 worth of tech in a $10 knife! Who wouldn't! But it's not going to happen. If every car was a Ferrari we'd all be riding bikes. I'd also love to see a lot of older designs revived, but I'm enjoying all the new stuff coming out and hate to have them stagnate and not come out with anything new because their old stuff was also so good.
A vocal minority trying to dictate my business practices I think would just entirely stress me out and piss me off. Would I like to see more 360s made? Yes. Would I take that at the cost of the 0560CBCF taking another month to come out? How about if it means a knife like the 0560CBCF doesn't come out at all because there just isn't time? Or a great new feature like KVT has to be cut on a knife still in design because the time to manufacture it is tied up by something else?
If quality steels were used, how about shifting production of some knives to China and then expanding the number of higher end/limited production/Zero Tolerance knives available produced out of Tualatin? Would people support that?
I've often wished that KAI had infinite capacity to offer an infinite number of knives with no wait time. But I've never been disappointed and wished that they hadn't made a particular knife in exchange for keeping another one around. They keep pushing the edge and keep bringing out new great stuff and there have to be some trade offs somewhere. A lot of time the interest in a knife is only strong because it is gone/no-longer produced/limited production so keeping them in production doesn't make sense. Let them keep doing what they do because I don't think they are doing it wrong.
