I live in Anchorage, Alaska and I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on any custom knife maker here in Alaska. I looking for any information concerning craftsmenship, amount of time I should expect for a knife to be completed and anythinng else a person could think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi TLA and welcome to the forums.

Here are some knife makers in Anchorage
    A.W. Amoureux
    John Chamberland
    Westley Hibben
    Russ Kommer
    Kuzan Oda
    Adam and Miranda Trujillo

I am sure there are others in Anchorage as well as all over Alaska.
Craftmanship and time will vary with each maker (could be anywhere from days to weeks to years). A good rule of thumb is to try to see as many as you can then sit down and talk with a maker about what you are looking for Try to match the type of knife that you are looking for with the style and strengths of a maker. Once you are comfortable and you feel the maker is comfortable odds are very high you will be happy with your new knife and maybe even your new friend.
