Just bought my first bush craft knife and I thought I would name it. Never named a knife before, but since I like it so much, I thought id give it own to make it more personal. I decided to name her Minah. Its a cute name for a cute knife. Im going to save the more extravagant names for more extravagant knives I plan to purchase in the future. Meet Minah :P

Hello Minah. I have two knives with names. Roxanne & Tessa. Both customs.

No. And to be honest I think this is the first time hearing someone do so in about 10 years reading the forums.

Not saying it's good or bad. Just new. I don't typically name inanimate objects though, so it's not my thing.

Some of them.

Al Mar Hawk: Little Al
Al Mar Falcon: Big Al
Al Mar SLB: Stumpy

We used to name our lab instruments and equipment at a few companies I have worked at. We had some peristaltic pumps that were named Old Yeller, the Green Weenie, and White Lightening. There were also two portable process tanks named after atomic bombs.

I dont personally name mine. My friend however names all his favorites. His current is Jimmy, a nine inch long bowie knife. Wish i had a picture of that nice blade

No, I never name inanimate objects, I have a hard enough time remembering the people I know let alone the names of 300+ knives but hey, whatever floats yer boat.

I have thought about naming them but it makes it too confusing. And I like the production names anyway.

Here's a few others to add to my list:

Kitchen knife made from an 10" Ontario field knife: The Machete Knife

Kitchen knife with a 5" x 2" wide blade: zuchinni knife

folder with orange osage scales: Banana Slug

I have names for my truck, my motorcycle, and my guns, but have yet to name my guitars or knives. I'll have to try and determine why the distinction, and whether or not to remedy the situation.
